    Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science adopt digital learning through ICT as a part of teaching and learning process to enhance the learning experience of the students. The College has an exclusive licensed application like Google Classroom, Google Meet etc. It also helps faculty members to develop the additional E-contents with the help of reference materials.

Google classroom

    Google classroom is a free web service that reorganizes the process of sharing files between teachers and students. The teachers can create a classroom online in which they can manage all the documents that their students need. The documents are stored on Google drive and can be edited in Google Docs, Sheets etc. The teachers can give assignments make announcements, share classroom materials, conduct quiz. The students can also submit assignments, comment on it, and can email to the teacher. It provides a modern solution to assign tasks and manage the progress of every student in a class.



    LCD projectors are fixed in the classrooms to integrate technology in teaching with class room practices. The students are also supported by the faculty to present their seminar topics using the ICT tools. The use of these facilities makes the teaching – learning more effective and livelier. The entire campus WiFi enabled.


Moodle

  • Moodle is on online portal developed for students as well as teachers .Online Exams are conducted in moodle platform.
  • The teacher to design and set online tests, consisting of multiple choices, true-false, short answer questions etc.
  • The teachers choose whether to give feedback or to show correct answers. Quiz moodle includes grading facilities.
  • Frequent Question and Answer series are conducted in the class room.


  • Kahoot

  • Kahoot is a tool that delivers and presents questions to students. It is set up as a game that students can play either individually or in groups. Teachers provide students with multiple-choice questions, which are projected on a classroom screen.
  • Each question has a limit of 95 characters, is displayed anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 minutes, and is restricted to four response options. Students, who will need to create a unique username that can be used throughout a semester, answer these questions with their own personal electronic devices (e.g., laptop, Smartphone, or tablet) and receive points for both response accuracy and promptness. After each question is answered, the correct answer will be displayed as well as a scoreboard of the highest point earners. At any time, teachers can track student progress and scores. Kahoot is incorporated into online classroom.



  • Management Information System (MIS)

  • Management Information System facilitates teachers to maintain a complete profile of students including personal and academic details, attendance, CIA marks and fee payment details and acts as a Faculty Record Book with complete details of the course. Feedback from the students on teaching methodologies adopted by faculty members is collected through MIS every semester. The college is a member of NDL and N-List and students can access digital collection of journals and articles related to the topic of their research through E-books and e-journals and EBSCO.
