About

About the Department

The Department of Commerce with Computer Applications which was started in the year 2000-2001. The main objective of this course is to develop basic skill in commerce and computer subjects. The core paper of this course inculcate basic accounting knowledge for maintaining proper accounts and develop entrepreneurial skill to begin start up. The Department extended its wings further in the year 2003-2004 with the introduction of Post Graduation Programme in M.Com (CA) amalgamating commerce with computer components. A team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff members maintains a healthy staff-student relationship and plays a vital role in guiding and shaping students to suit the global market. The Department actively involves itself in various innovative academic enrichments, student care programmes and extension activities.

    To be a vibrant centre for achieving excellence in education and research in the field of Commerce and Computer Applications through provision of adequate knowledge, developing technical skills and inculcate values to make the students responsible to the society and environment.

Objectives of the Department

  • To cater to the manpower needs of companies in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing and Financial Analysis.

  • To develop business analysts for companies, capital markets and commodity markets.

  • To motivate the students to become entrepreneurs.

  • To build competencies for research activities.

  • To equip the students with professional skills and interpersonal skills

After completion of three years of study, our B.Com CA Graduates will be able to :

PO1: Exhibit proficiency in oral and written communication.

PO2: Prove their knowledge of accounting, business, taxation and financial management.

PO3: Exhibit their Technical Skills (such as Word processing, Spread sheet, Visualbasic,gambas 3, Accounting Package) in Auditing and Business Process Services by updating their Knowledge with the upcoming new techniques.

PO4: Work on multidisciplinary tasks and will be aware of the new and emerging disciplines.
